|Pears with Baked Camembert from Good Food Michigan|
4 ounce wheel of Camembert or Brie cheese
1 tablespoon of maple syrup
pinch of kosher salt
1 firm pear, cut into wedges
a squeeze of fresh lemon juice
optional: a handful of chopped almonds
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Place cheese in a small round baking dish. Pour the maple syrup on top and scatter the pinch of salt. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is soft and gooey. Remove to a plate. Pour the maple syrup over the cheese.
3. In another bowl, toss the pear wedges with the lemon juice. Arrange around the cheese. If desired, scatter the almonds and garnish with sprigs of fresh herbs.
